At CES2020 GIGABYTE showed off many new products, but one really caught our eye; the DESIGNARE Drive. The new drive is an external USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 type-C drive (20Gbps), perfect for expanding upon limited internal storage plaguing newer generation notebooks. The best part of the drive is that it supports x4 PCI-E 3.0 NVMe M.2 drives and comes in both 500GB and 1TB variants. Capable of upwards of 2GB/s read/write, it’s faster than most current type-C external drives. It will release in February 2020 and will cost $249/$149 for the 1TB/512GB models respectively.
